As you go through other users on the platform you can view their profile. Through this feature you’re able to see people’s lifestyles, pet preferences and reviews from their previous roommates seeing if they were actually reliable. If you like what you see, swipe right! If you want to keep searching for the perfect roommate, swipe left!
Posting a Craigslist ad searching for a roommate is so 2010. Matching with verified and reliable roommates on Chillow IS the future. We’re here to help you find roommates with a quick swipe. See someone with similar interests as you? Swipe right! If both parties feel the same, our platform will match you two. Once the match screen pops up on your iPhone, you have the option to keep swiping on other profiles or you can reach out to your potential new roomie!
Now that you have a few matches and potential future roommates, it’s time to reach out to them. Chillow has made it easy with our messaging tool! Chatting gives you the option to get to know the other person better and see if they match what their profile says. Now for our favorite feature...REVIEWING! We’re sure if you're reading this blog you’ve had at least one bad roommate experience. Chillow is here to save you from any future horror stories. These past experiences are why we chose to include roommate reviews on our app. Providing this feature will allow users to have a glimpse into what moving in with this person would look like. It’s easy for a stranger to falsely pose online as someone they’re not. Our review feature will quickly allow you to see if they’re legit. Are you wanting to build a more credible profile for others to see? Send your past roomies a request to review you on the app!
If you’ve already found your roomie for the school year but are struggling with where you’re going to live, Chillow has your back with our Find a Place feature! We’re getting to the root of the issue by connecting landlords and tenants directly.
When on the app simply swipe to the Home icon to find available spaces for rent in the area. When you see one you love, message the lister! From there you two can connect on all the details and most importantly when you and your roomie can move in!
